… that's how the HR Director described it when I asked how HR was perceived by the business.
You'll be partnering a major division of a global engineering consultancy, supported by highly capable Ulrich style Centres of Excellence. A key member of the divisional management team, you'll devise and drive the people strategy and this really is a strategic role (no mention here of 'rolling your sleeves up').
It's for someone that thrives when developing relationships and building networks, an influencer and coach who is not afraid to put their point across. Someone that sees how things can be improved and devises practical strategies to impact real, commercial, issues. Someone that can be the advocate for their population when collaborating with the broader HR community (HRSS/CoE) who'll manage the delivery to ensure first class support.
It's a high trust (ie grown up/not political) environment and one where ideas, diversity of thought and genuine collaboration are valued.
So, if you are a true HRBP and strategist that's worked in a global role who still gets a buzz from spending time in different cultures, if you have worked in a sophisticated CoE based HR structure and know how to leverage this to get the best results, this is well worth a look.
