Selection and Assessment Specialist (In-house)
* Can you talk me through a time when you used a competency based approach?
* When might it be most appropriate to use a hypothetical line of questioning?
* How has your time at uni influenced your approach to biographical interviews?
If you appreciate the nuance that different assessment methods (or different lines of questioning) provide to support a selection decision (and get a buzz from the insights that can be derived from a properly conducted assessment) then this is for you.
You'll be a key (and highly respected) subject matter expert within a high calibre HR department, working for a well-known, global technology, brand. As one of the team responsible for ensuring that this highly successful corporation continues to grow by selecting the right people to join their teams across EMEA, you'll be in a position to have a real impact. Although the primary focus will be on supporting UK recruitment, there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in international assignments and there will be a lot of variety in terms of the roles being assessed (with particularly large populations across sales and technical functions offering variety from entry to director level). You'll enjoy building relationships with colleagues from a variety of different cultures and won't be shy in offering an opinion; comfortable consulting, coaching and influencing.
The role is called a specialist for a reason, you'll know your way around competency based, biographical and psychometric assessment processes and assessment centres and be psychologically minded (probably with some academics to back that up). It would suit someone that is either: currently working 'in-house' as an assessment specialist or a consultant seeking to move client side (think what your life would be like if you didn't have utilisation or business development targets).
Sounds great doesn't it? To find out more apply here, if you've got a cv ready to go, I'd love to see a copy, however, if you haven't got one that's application ready, drop me a note and we can have a chat in the first instance.
